Follow-up Appts & Patience – Sept 2007

September 21, 2007

Hard to believe, 18 months post surgery!  I had the MRI “ride of my life” this time.  I was fortunate to be able to use a MRI that was about 3/4 of the normal length.  This meant my head was out of the tube.  I took some xanax to get me thru the appt.  The only bad part, it was like a “carnival ride”.  They kept moving me in & out of the machine just enough to make me motion sick.  Ugh … I was wanting a dramamine.  Not such a good appt on an empty stomach.

Then I went to my Orthopedic Oncologist appt & was left in a room for just under 2 hours with no Resident, no Dr, no nothing.  I  was ready to walk out.  I was quite ANGRY as I was alone & lost track of time but knew it had been awhile.  I got dressed, walked out to the Nurses station & told them I was leaving.  The Resident came to tell me the Dr had an emergency & they had not forgotten me.  By the time the Dr had come in I was too thru with all of them.  Not such a good appt day overall.

The good news is all was still well … NED.
